Information on Our Business’ Limited Legal Liabilities


Stacy Cleaners liability with respect to any damaged, lost or stolen items shall not exceed ten (10) times our charge for cleaning that garment, regardless of cost, brand or condition.

At our sole discretion we may reimburse clients for lost or damaged dry-cleaning items in accordance with the Dry Cleaning and Fabricare Institute. Customers must notify Stacy Cleaners within 7 business days of receipt of an order of any lost or damaged items. Failure to do so constitutes waiver of a claim for any lost or damaged items from that order.

We are not responsible for unclaimed garments. Items left 30 days after due date are considered abandoned garments and are donated.

We exercise the utmost care in processing articles entrusted to us and use such processes which, in our opinion, are best suited to the nature and condition of each individual article. Nevertheless, we cannot assume responsibility for inherent weaknesses of or defects in materials that are not readily apparent prior to processing. This applies particularly, but not exclusively, to suedes, leathers, silks, satins, double-faced fabrics, vinyls, polyurethanes, etc. Responsibility also is disclaimed for trimmings, buckles, beads, buttons, bells and sequins. We cannot guarantee cleaning against color loss, sheen loss, finish loss, fading, bleeding, or shrinkage, or damage to weak and/or tender fabrics.

We do not guarantee the removal of stains.

Please note that Stacy Cleaners as a mobile pick up & delivery service, items are not counted at the time of pick up and are logged in at our facility. As such our internal count is determined to be the accepted and final item count. Stacy Cleaners will not be held liable for any items claimed sent, missing or damaged. Stacy Cleaners is not responsible for any item claimed lost or stolen from designated drop off or delivery areas. We are not responsible for clothing before it has been pick-up or after it has been delivered.

We are not responsible for loss or damage to personal items left in the clothing such as money, jewelry or other personal effects. We are also not responsible for items left in clothing (ink pen, marker, lip balm, etc.) that may result in damage to clothing during wash. Customers agree to not leave such items in the clothing at drop-off.

We reserve the right to refuse service to customers or refuse cleaning of any item.
